The Team

The ENABLE London study is led by an experienced research team at St. George's, University of London, which include epidemiologists, medical health professionals and statisticians.

The ENABLE London study is led by:

Professor Christopher Owen, Professor of Epidemiology

Christopher Owen is a Professor of Epidemiology at St George's, University of London, and is the Principal Investigator of the ENABLE London Study. His recent work has focussed on measuring physical activity and fitness and understanding their determinants. For more information about Professor Owen, click here

The ENABLE London Research Team are:

Ms Bina Ram, Project Manager

Bina is responsible for the management of the study and is overseeing the fieldwork with participants. She has expertise in managing large-scale research studies, and conducting interviews and assessments with families and with children.

Dr Claire Nightingale, Statistician

Claire is a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics. She has an interest in physical activity and adiposity and their determinants.

Ms Cathy McKay, Data Assistant

Cathy is responsible for managing data returns, downloading and processing the activity monitors.

Aine Hogan and Katrin Peuker

Aine and Katrin are the Fieldwork Researchers for the project. Both researchers are fully trained and carry ID badges at all times.
